Excellent suggestion to keep on growing one’s skill by immersing in new pools of knowledge. Like you, I have often found that if I put myself in service of others, my motivation to learn new stuff and either teach it or share with a community becomes stronger. And I retain more of the new material because my goal is to master it enough to communicate it to others.
