Options Expiration (OPEX) and Quad Witching are known to be especially high volume and volatility.
What is Quadruple Witching? ????????♀️
It occurs four times a year when four different kinds of contracts expire on the same day (stock options, stock index options, stock index futures, and single stock futures).
The last hour of each of these days is known as the “witching hour.”
Make sure to be aware of these dates for the remainder of 2023 (I do this by marking them in my trading journal in advance).
