Why Micros
The contract size is the risk control
you keep trying to impose by willpower.
Most traders who blow an account don’t do it with a bad idea. They do it with a reasonable idea in a size that made the outcome matter too much. Position size is where fear enters a trade, and fear is what makes you close early, hold too long, or double down.
Micros change the arithmetic. Cheaper margin means less capital tied up per position. Smaller tick value means a normal adverse move is survivable rather than existential. And the liquidity is there, so you aren’t stuck in a position waiting for someone to take the other side.
Trading smaller isn’t trading timidly. It’s how you stay in the seat long enough to get good.
